"When I was a young lad and starting my career on the counters of the building society branches of North Dublin I used to look forward to the days when Brian Kennedy APA was working at the same place.Even though it was over 30 years ago I still remember his impact as a leader and how it helped shaped a positive culture. Was a real privilege to welcome him to our offices yesterday, where he was kind enough to gift me a copy of his excellent new book, The Bulletproof Banker. One line in it that jumps out immediately at me is, after a nasty armed robbery in the branch one day, that some were more concerned about "how much taken?" rather than "how are you?" We forget as leaders sometimes that our wonderful teams do tough jobs to do and how a simple "hi" or "how are you?" can make a real difference.

Great to catch again after all these years and look forward to hopefully having Brian back to share more of his work on well being with our own team. We spoke yesterday about how us blokes don't talk enough about what's on our mind, both the good and I know from personal experience where this lead to so I am a big fan of these conversations across our entire team."
